Built across a seven-acre cay, this resort is one of the most charming places in the Bay Islands. Delightful pastel accents turn up everywhere—on tree trunks, picnic tables, spacious cottages, and even the birdcages. Coral-lined paths cut across the well-manicured campus, and a walkway ringing the cay leads out to a private lean-to with hammocks. The island’s best bar ‘n’ grill offer an appetizing menu of fresh seafood all you can eat and fried chicken. For the ultimate in decadence, sip an afternoon cocktail from the swim-up tables facing the hazy-blue Mountains on the mainland. The yacht club has a few boats for deep-sea fishing, plus dive and snorkel equipment at the ready. The owner, Graham Thompson, is always around to help out.
Besides kitebarding and watersports, Graham’s has world famous flats fishing, with Permit and Bonefish all around the island. There are also flats and open water fishing trips daily.
Rooms are located right on a beautiful sandy beach. Each room has a fridge, coffee maker and deck overlooking the water. The grounds have a bar, restaurant, WIFI and plenty of hammocks. Graham’s Key is a spectacular, one-of-a-kind Honduran hotel. Located on its own private island 2 miles offshore from the main island of Guanaja. Nearby is some of the best kite boarding in the Caribbean, with flat water sandbars, protected bays and reef breaks. There is easy access from the beach and good kiting out front. When there is no wind, the kayaking and paddleboarding are incredible, with miles of protected paddling and lots to see. Then get in the water by snorkeling or scuba diving one of the many colorful reefs in the area. Or take a trip around the larger island, Guanaja, to see the waterfalls, lush forest or cultural areas.
